MOE BANDY
Moe Bandy is one of America’s premier classic country artists, celebrated for keeping traditional honky-tonk alive with twin fiddles, steel guitar, and storytelling songs about love, heartbreak, drinking, and patriotism.
His long string of hits includes “Bandy the Rodeo Clown,” “Hank Williams, You Wrote My Life,” “Till I’m Too Old to Die Young,” “Americana,” “It’s a Cheatin’ Situation,” “Just Good Ol’ Boys,” “Barstool Mountain,” “I Cheated Me Right Out of You,” “Rodeo Romeo,” “You Haven’t Heard the Last of Me,” “Holding the Bag,” and dozens more chart-toppers. Across his career, he’s earned 10 #1 hits, 40 Top Ten singles, 66 chart hits, five gold albums, and multiple industry honors, including ACM Song of the Year, ACM Most Promising Male Vocalist, ACM/CMA Duet of the Year, and American Video of the Year.
A Texas native, Moe’s journey began in San Antonio - bull riding, working as a sheet-metal worker by day, and playing honky-tonks by night. In 1972, a chance meeting with producer Ray Baker led to Moe’s breakthrough single “I Just Started Hatin’ Cheatin’ Songs Today,” released nationally by GRC Records and followed by his first #1, “Bandy the Rodeo Clown.”
Decades later, Moe remains a tireless performer - writing, recording, touring the world to packed houses and remains as devoted to his fans as ever.
